What to expect...

Dear Wise Women 🌙, Join us for Imbolc, a Sabbat marking the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Vernal (Spring) Equinox. As daylight increases and the promise of spring lingers in the air, this period invites reflection and contemplation. Though too early for gardening, Imbolc historically marked a time to consider intentions for the upcoming year. Derived from the Gaelic term meaning "in the belly," Imbolc honours the Celtic goddess Brigid, embodying inspiration, creativity, healing, smithcraft, and poetry. In ancient traditions, this celebration affirmed life and initiated thoughts about the imminent harvest season. In the modern context, Imbolc, occurring during the tranquil weeks following the holiday season, provides an opportune moment for introspection. With days lengthening and sunlight increasing, it offers a period of clarity. Having rested after Samhain and celebrated Winter Solstice, now is the time for deliberate planning and progress towards personal goals. This group is for women who are born female, celebrating the stages of Maidenhood, Motherhood, and Cronehood. Our purpose is to honor and educate about the spiritual and physical aspects of the female life cycle, including menstruation, pregnancy and menopause. We invite you to partake in a special Imbolc ritual as we connect with the changing season. Please bring the following items to enhance your experience- 1. 2 candles with jars 2. Warm and weatherproof clothing 3. A cup 4. Something to sit on (for your comfort during our gathering) Optional Contributions: Feel free to enhance our collective experience by bringing: 1. Food to share at our communal feast, embodying the spirit of abundance and community. 2. Decorations for our altar, allowing you to infuse our sacred space with your unique energy and intentions. Branches that are traditional are Cedar, Holly, Pine, Apple and Poplar 🌳 Prepare to immerse yourself in the enchantment of this celebration, connecting with nature, spirit, and the wisdom of the seasons. See you soon, as we embrace the magic of Imbolc together! 🕯️ You are very welcome here. With anticipation and warmth, Vanessa 🖤 PS: As we gather in this circle, let's honour the sacred space we create together by respecting confidentiality. What is shared within this circle stays within this circle. This includes the personal stories, experiences, and feelings expressed by each participant.

We would like to acknowledge, with gratitude and appreciation, that the land on which we walk and live is the traditional territories of the Sinixt, the Syilx, and the Ktunaxa peoples, and is home to many other indigenous persons, including the Inuit and Metis.
