Caution: Use can lower seizure threshold; interacts adversely with seizure-reducing medications. It is the strongest and most dangerous of the Artemisias. As the main ingredient in the mind-altering liquor absinthe, it stimulates mid-brain activity and increases creativity if taken in larger doses. However repeated use disturbs the central nervous system which is why large doses are not recommended.
